Health benefits of nectarines
Sweet, delicious nectarines (Prunus persica) with their smooth red skin and yellow undertones, juicy, distinct aroma and unique taste have numerous health benefits. This smooth skinned, low calorie, naturally fat free, cholesterol free fruit with centrally placed hard seed is a good source of a number of minerals, vitamins and dietary fiber. Nectarines are more delicate and contains much more minerals and vitamins than their fuzzy relatives, the peaches. This sweet fruit is healthiest when it is ripe, therefore reject nectarines with a greenish skin.
