This delicious, vibrant, homemade redcurrant sauce with a nice savory rich flavor is simple and easy to make and can be done in under 10 minutes from start to finish. It is also great drizzled over pancakes or ice cream.

2 cups red currants, fresh
3 tbsp organic honey
1 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 lemon zest
1 tsp water, or as needed

Puree the redcurrants, honey, fresh lemon juice and grated lemon peel in a food processor. Bring mixture to a simmer in saucepan over medium heat, stir occasionally until thickened. Cover and refrigerate until chilled.
