Roasted cabbage wedges with lemon recipe

Absolutely delicious, perfect way to make cabbage a favorite vegetable to the children and adults too. Tasty, easy to make and easy on wallet, roasted cabbage with lemon can be addition to a meal or the whole meal.

1 head of cabbage, middle size
2 tbsp vegetable oil
2 tsp mayonnaise
1/2 lemon, juice
1/2 lemon, sliced for serving
Salt and ground pepper to taste

Cut the cabbage through the core into 6-8 even wedges. Trim the core but leave enough to keep leaves together. Place them onto baking tray. Mix oil with the lemon juice and mayonnaise. Spread the mixture over the cabbage wedges and season with the salt and pepper, then turn wedges carefully and repeat spreading and seasoning on the other side. Preheat oven to 435F (220C). Bake each side for about 15 minutes. Serve with lemon slices.
